Piano Lessons for children and adults of any age and level

A trial lesson is a great way to try your hand at a musical instrument before enrolling in the study. At the trial lesson the teacher will tell you about the specifics of the instrument and sound production (if you are a beginner) and will help you find a comfortable posture for playing, select the repertoire for learning and give recommendations. As early as at the trial lesson, you or your child will be able to play 1-3 simple pieces, accompanied by the teacher. The school will provide you with an instrument for your trial lesson.

Children can start learning to play the piano from the ages of 3 or 4. Piano lessons contribute to the development of melodic and harmonic musical ear, coordination, fine motor skills and technique, and polyphonic thinking; they also develop a sense of rhythm. As early as at the first lesson the student will be able to perform a simple piece accompanied by the teacher. Playing the piano is very popular in Finland, and this musical instrument can be found in many homes. A student who wants to achieve quick results in playing the piano should have their own instrument at home and get used to practicing every day. Provided the little pianist practices regularly reinforcing the skills taught at the lessons, after one year they will be able to perform a simple two-part composition by Bach or another polyphonic piece.
